Applications are invited for the posts of GP Integrated Care to support the delivery of unscheduled medical services at the Vale of Leven Hospital.
The role encompasses OOH Primary Care, Minor Injuries, the Medical Assessment Unit and Leadership of the Hospital at Night Team based at the Vale of Leven Hospital.
This post may be of particular interest to recently qualified GPs who wish to retain an interest in acute medicine as part of their career portfolio, or to experienced GPs wishing additional clinical challenge. It is supported by an education and training programme.
Whilst desirable, previous experience in acute medicine is not essential. However, ALS Provider status is mandatory to the role. If necessary, you will be supported to obtain this if recruited to the post. You will be working with and supported by GPs who have been in this role for a number of years. This role is supported by Consultant Physicians working between the Vale of Leven Hospital and Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley and who have been working closely with GPs in this unique model for unscheduled medical care at the Vale of Leven Hospital.
The commitment will vary dependent upon individual GPs.
