Founded in 1749, Justerini & Brooks is the oldest continuously operating Wine & Spirits merchant in the UK. The company charts a history of passion, knowledge and deep relationships with the world’s most discerning wine growers, whisky makers and pleasure seekers.
With that in mind, our business has undergone a big strategic reframe to ensure we are best positioned to strengthen today’s legacy whilst also building tomorrow’s legacy. We’re looking for someone to join our team in perhaps one of the most exciting times in the brand’s history to bring this transformation to life.
Purpose of the Role
As a member of the Diageo brand teams, you will be the guardian of one of Diageo’s oldest and most respected brands (Justerini & Brooks) and work to bring our brand to life through experiences in the fine wine & rare whisky world at the highest execution standards, engaging our private clients, trade customers and wine press.
Key Accountabilities:
* Running of the experiences calendar: End-to-end management of key events in London, Edinburgh, and Hong Kong.
* Coordinating events calendar for Burlington Arcade: Overseeing the experiences calendar with the help of the on-site team.
* Growers Support: Connecting internal teams and customers to growers, ensuring valuable and tailored visits.
* Wine PR & Partnerships: Generating the right PR by working alongside our PR agency and hosting relevant events.
* Internal Coordination: Keeping the team advised of the experience's schedule ensuring a smooth flow of information.
* Ensure adherence to brand guidelines at all events.
* Handle experiential budget optimally and in time.
* Drive a robust measurement & evaluation process of our communications and activations.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
* A strong events, hospitality or PR background with extensive experience.
* Deep knowledge of wine - WSET level 3 minimum.
* Good knowledge of the spirits industry with a focus on whisky.
* Ability to handle multiple events, agencies, and deadlines across countries.
* Run and maintain events budgets.
* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
* Willingness to work flexibly, including evenings as required.
