Up to £45 + Generous Annual Bonus
I am looking for an experienced Registered Manager for a brand new home for children and young people in Swadlincote, which is owned by a family-run company that really invests in their staff. The Home will provide placements for up to 3 young people with emotional and behavioural needs.
As this is a new home, you will be given the opportunity to really make a difference in the lives of children and young people and be able to build up your own staffing team.
In this post of Registered Manager you will:
1. Work with the Senior Management Team to promote the values and ethos of the company
2. Manage all aspects of the Children’s Home
3. Take responsibility for the implementation of all young people’s placements to support their emotional and mental wellbeing
4. Recruit a brand new staff team
5. Take the lead in the development, implementation, monitoring and review of standards across the home
6. Ensure exceptional levels of care for all young people and ongoing compliance with regulatory frameworks
7. Establish and maintain a competent, motivated and confident staff team
8. Provide supervision and development of the residential care staff
9. Be the responsible person for managing child protection concerns, complaints and health and safety in order to ensure that the needs of all young people are met
For this role you must have:
1. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Social Care Services (or equivalent)
2. A minimum of five years’ residential experience within the children’s home sector
3. A minimum of two years’ recent management experience in the children’s home sector
4. Experience in applying policies and procedures relating to the care of young people and the management of services
5. Experience of current Ofsted Inspection Framework
6. Sound knowledge of governing legislation, procedures and best practice in caring for children
7. A full manual UK driving licence
