Specialise in manufacturing and developing high-quality polythene products designed to meet the diverse needs of both domestic and European markets. With two state-of-the-art operating sites in Leeds, they're well-equipped to deliver top-notch service and products to their valued clients.
Thanks to a recent multi-million-pound investment in our South Leeds manufacturing site, they've expanded their capabilities with three brand-new extrusion lines. This significant upgrade has provided them with an excellent platform for further growth and allows us to offer even more advanced solutions.
The two sites are dedicated to producing a range of essential packaging materials, including heat shrink film, pallet covers, pallet hoods, and stretch-capable, machine-automated polythene film. Due to this growth, they are now looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their existing team.
Job details:
1. Addressing electrical (and occasionally mechanical) breakdowns swiftly and efficiently.
2. Performing routine maintenance on extrusion machinery to ensure optimal performance.
3. Responding promptly to factory needs, ensuring minimal downtime.
4. Implementing machinery modifications as required.
5. Expertly diagnosing faults and conducting troubleshooting activities.
6. Maintaining open communication with the Engineering Manager to ensure seamless operations.
About you:
1. A recognised Engineering Apprenticeship/Qualification.
2. City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering
3. Proven experience in electrical fault finding and diagnostics.
4. Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
5. Strong problem-solving skills honed through practical engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
6. Understanding of how Programmable Logic Controllers work.
