The Digital Consultancy (DC) is a growing specialist group providing engineering and design talent, majoring in Digital Strategy; Controls and Systems Integration; Audio Visual (AV) and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).
The Controls and Systems Integration Team designs and specifies controls and systems integration for projects in various sectors, including Building Management Systems (BMS) and integration with other systems (e.g., security, lighting) operating over the ICT specified Converged Building Network.
The team collaborates with clients to translate visions into tangible design concepts and definitions, involved in projects from advisory and client engagement to design documentation, ensuring Contractor deliverables align with design intent and project requirements.

What We Are Looking For:
This role will lead the Digital Solutions - Controls and Systems Integration team, primarily based in London. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
* Experienced work winning track record for Controls and Systems Integration consulting projects.
* Team management skills for day-to-day operations, including project resource forecasting and performance review.
* Client-facing and clear communication skills.
* Ability to lead client workshops and articulate complex technical content.
* Ability to translate technical Controls concepts into clearly defined work packages.
* Commercial ability to convey cost models to client teams for decision-making.
* Solid building services electrical and mechanical engineering background.
* Understanding of design principles of building technology systems (e.g., HVAC controls, BMS, lighting controls).
* Knowledge of IoT smart building technologies and protocols (e.g., MQTT, LoraWAN).
* Previous experience on mission-critical projects is desirable.
* Ability to deliver integrated data solutions and understand their relationships.
Standard Consulting Skills:
* Solid report writing skills and ability to convey concepts visually.
* Creativity in preparing presentations for client workshops.
* Ability to influence and guide junior team members.
* Self-management and collaboration within multi-discipline teams.
* Understanding of RIBA stages and their application to Controls scope.
* Ability to maintain focus on client awarded scope and deliverables.
* Understanding of construction phased delivery and its impact on project expectations.
* Ability to deliver new clients and workstreams within the connected Services sector.
* Interest in elevating personal profile as a subject matter expert.
* Ability to deliver growth within the first year and beyond.
