Production Operative (Nights) – Chilled Food Manufacturing
Location: Clitheroe
Shift: Night Shift - Sunday to Thursday, 10pm - 6am, 37.5 hours per week
Pay: £13.16 per hour, increasing to £13.42 following full training.
We are looking for Production Operatives to join our brand new night shift at our Clitheroe site. You will be part of a team
ensuring that our factory runs efficiently and we achieve production targets.

Job Purpose:
To assemble finished goods products in line with site standards and customer specifications. Accountable for delivering high
standards of quality while assembling finished goods products.
Key Duties:
Entry Level
* Follow the Health and Safety (H&S) procedures and ensure all potential hazards are observed and reported
* Follow the company processes and site operating procedures in relation to food safety, allergen control and maintain good
manufacturing practices (GMP) throughout the shift
* Follow the clean as you go policy and maintain high standards of personal hygiene
* Deliver high standards of quality ensuring products are produced in line with site standards and customer specification
* Use and maintain all equipment in a correct manner and report any machine/equipment issues
* Complete and submit documentation accurately and in a timely manner to ensure traceability is maintained
* Minimize the environmental impact by following the company waste disposal procedures
* Meet relevant KPIs and targets assign by the Supervisor/Manager
* Adhere to plan and keep the production downtime to a minimum
* Complete product changeovers in a timely manner
* Support new product development (NPD) process
* Report any anomalies to Supervisor/Manager
* Assist in day to day operation and provide cover and support to other operatives if necessary
* You may be assigned to other tasks and you will be expected to perform any reasonable requests as requested
Operative Level
* Able to achieve the targets set for the line on the scale. Target is 12+ pots per min (except for difficult products).
* Understand of the processes, regarding clean downs and changeover including correct PPE for the process.
* Able to understand the quality needed to prevent rework.
* Able to understand the process of handling rework.
* Assist in training of new staff.
* Able to read tags and traceability information to prevent incorrect material being used.
* Able to request material in the appropriate amount of time from the feeders to prevent downtime being caused.
* Attendance level to be within parameters set by the business.
* Able to follow the QAS standards with regards to the product they are producing.
* Able to use equipment correctly and understand the need for clean as you go.
* Follow the clean as you go policy and ensure work station is kept within acceptable standards.
* Able to support staff on line to ensure that end of job is completed at the same time. Preventing downtime.
* Follow all company policies and procedures.
* Work in a manner that prevents generation of waste and report an issues that result in waste being created.
* Follow instruction from supervisor/Manager for reasonable requests.
* Flexible with working in other areas including different departments or job roles.
* Following the clocking procedure with regards to attending work at the correct time/Breaks and end of shift.
* Operate the scales in a manner to prevent excess giveaway (traffic light system)
