Assignment Details: As a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to support students with special educational needs and disabilities, helping them access the curriculum and develop their independence. Key duties include:
* Providing one-to-one and small group support to SEND students
* Assisting with the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
* Supporting students with physical, emotional, and learning difficulties
* Collaborating with teachers to adapt learning materials for SEND students
* Helping to create and maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment

Person Specification:
* Experience working with SEND students aged 11-18 in an educational setting
* Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (desirable)
* SEND-specific qualifications or training (highly desirable)
* Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one
* Excellent understanding of various special educational needs and disabilities
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to supporting SEND students
* Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Physical capability to support students with mobility issues when necessary
