Job summary We have an exciting opportunity for a Radiographer (Xray and MRI) to be based predominantly with the Horder group sites in the Sussex area. This role is accountable for performing imaging procedures which consists of MRI and Xray, referring to Senior or Lead radiologists, when required. Main duties of the job Key responsibilities include:Undertaking a wide variety MRI and Xray examinations on different systems.Taking part in the on call service for the Horder Centre, Crowborough site for XrayPreparing patients for imaging procedures, explaining the procedure and ensuring that the patient is comfortable and properly positioned.Ensuring all referrals are justified and provide advise on protocols, if required.Ensuring consistently high-quality images are produced.Assessing images for quality and clinical significant and escalate urgent findings as necessary.Administering contrast media in line with PGD guidance, SOPs & protocols.Responsible for own clinical areas with regards to linen change and cleanliness.
