Overview
Important: All applicants must be able to obtain Security Clearance *minimum 5 years UK residency*. Due to the level of security clearance required, all applicants must be eligible to obtain UKEYES ONLY clearance, and therefore be a Sole UK National.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Wiring complex assemblies using technical drawings, wiring/circuit diagrams, and work instructions
2. Terminal installation
3. Soldering high-density multi-pin connections
4. Soldering surface mount devices
5. Mechanical assembly of control cabinets, racks, frames, and associated metalwork
6. Manufacture of cable looms
7. Printed circuit board assembly and repair
8. Repairs and modifications including upgrades in accordance with documented procedures
9. Comprehensive checks on wired assemblies
10. Ensuring all paperwork (hard and soft copy) and electronic systems including ERP is completed accurately to ensure traceability
11. Maintain good standards of housekeeping and cleanliness whilst complying with best health and safety practices including ESD precautions
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
1. Academic qualification or practical experience in electrical assembly
2. Previous assembly experience within a workshop manufacturing environment
3. Excellent soldering skills including complex high-density connectors and surface mount devices
4. Meticulous assembling skills
5. Able to read and understand electrical drawings including wiring diagrams and PCB schematics
6. Strong time management and be able to work unsupervised to defined deadlines
7. Good communicator and team player
8. Basic computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Desired Skills:
1. Existing qualification to IPC-A-610/620 would be an advantage
2. Experience with COSHH
