We have an incredible opportunity for a dynamic Lead Project Manager - Telecoms to join our high-performing Transmission Technical Services team. In this role, you'll take the reins in managing and driving forward SSEN Transmission projects that are crucial to the success of our ambitious RIIO-T2 and T3 network development strategies.
You will
- Be the primary escalation point, managing a team of project managers who are responsible for the delivery of substation connectivity and capability enhancement projects.
- Manage cross project dependencies, develop complex delivery sequences, complete the associated regulatory reporting and ensure deliverables are realised with a focus on operational effectiveness manner.
- Take responsibility for overall budget and procurement activities, working with key business stakeholders.
- Manage 3rd party design and build framework contractors while monitoring and reporting on performance.
- Possess a strong working knowledge of Operational Safety Rules and safety culture.
Significant technical delivery experience within the electricity network space and a demonstratable track record.
- Significant knowledge of Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH), Plesiochronous Digital Hierarchy (PDH) and IP networks, including the technical relationship associated with critical services associated with the Transmission electricity system.
- Experience of managing people, driving results and adopting processes in line with industry best practice.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal with extensive experience of leading meetings and forums.
- The ability to work in a very technical and organisationally complex environment with a robust problem resolution mindset.

Salary: £55,200 - £83,000 + car /car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
