Premier Work Support have a fantastic opportunity for Train Cleaners to join a well-known company based in Leeds.
Due to an increase of work on high profile rail projects, the work will be ongoing and regular in surrounding areas.
The main task will be cleaning new trains as they come into the depot and working with a team to complete the tasks within a certain deadline.
The job will sometimes require a front of house cleaning. You may also be required to clean toilets, accommodation, under carriages of trains and other areas which need attention.
Key Responsibilities
* Generally based within an Industrial Rail Depot environment predominantly tasked with maintain the cleaning services throughout the engineering locations such as but not limited to, internal & external walkways, general engineering working areas, workshops, stores, service areas train inspection Pits and associated site facilities within all Train repair/maintenance buildings on site.
* Mandatory attendance, compliance and successful achievement of the on-site client and landlord Site Safety
Trained and Certified use of all required industrial equipment such as but not limited to:
* Pedestrian Scrubber Driers
* Ride on units
* Industrial vac units (Sky vacs etc)
* Pressure washing equipment as required
Completion of specialist cleaning activities such as:
* Inspection Pit Cleaning (Pressure Washing) to be carried out in full compliance
* Train servicing & inspections areas
* High level & low level window cleaning
Carry out these tasks with due regard to all legislation - Health & Safety ensuring your actions do not put yourself or others at risk.
* Act on any reasonable instruction from Site Management, Depot Supervisor & Line Management
* To carry out all Industrial cleaning tasks using the correct method, materials, equipment & chemicals at all times and ensure all equipment is cleaned and stored correctly after use in the designated storage facility.
* Report any faulty, damaged equipment to the Supervisor.
* To ensure every effort to develop and maintain an effective working relationship with colleagues and the
* Respond to emergency situations in line with site specific procedures and report all accidents, incidents and dangerous occurrences to the Supervisor.
Working hours are from 08:00 - 15:00, working days are different from Monday to Sunday with two days off in a week ( weekends are required to work ).
