Main duties of the job
This is a whole-time post, commencing Wednesday 6/8/25 for a period of 1 year. The successful candidate will be expected to attend and teach in outpatient clinics, on ward rounds, labour ward and theatre sessions. In these clinical sessions the teaching registrar will undertake supervised teaching sessions for year 3 graduate entry medical students from Swansea University. There is funding within this post for the successful candidate to undertake a certificate in postgraduate medical education based in Swansea University. Protected time for this is included in the weekly timetable.
There is no requirement to undertake night time on call in this post. We anticipate that an occasional daytime weekend on call may be available at middle grade level. This will be separately remunerated.
