How Can You Grow?
Their manufacturing site is undergoing its largest-ever investment, and we are looking for an experienced Senior Process Engineer to lead and manage capital projects. This crucial on-site role will involve overseeing project lifecycles—from conception and approval to design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
In short, we are seeking a Degree Qualified Chemical Engineer with 12+ years in Chemical Manufacturing as a Process Project Engineer. This person MUST have UK experience and full RTW (right to work) in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, control, and construct process plants to manufacture products efficiently and safely.
2. Ensure production methods, materials, and quality standards comply with specifications and safety requirements.
3. Maintain and update P&ID and engineering drawings.
4. Oversee Capex processes as a project manager.
5. Prepare reports, feasibility studies, and cost estimates for investments in processing facilities.
6. Manage procurement and ensure optimal quality, cost, and delivery from approved suppliers.
7. Oversee installation activities within project timelines and support commissioning efforts.
8. Supervise contractors to ensure successful project completion.
9. Maintain and update documentation and recording systems in line with project changes.
10. Conduct research and develop processes to enhance output, reduce manufacturing costs, and improve safety.
11. Ensure compliance with project-related process safety management procedures and established work methods.
12. Develop site standards and guidance for process engineering.
13. Report process safety incidents or hazards and contribute to incident investigations.
What You Bring to the Role:
1. Proven experience as a Process Chemical Engineer in a complex chemical manufacturing environment.
2. A track record of successfully managing multiple projects concurrently, with budgets ranging from £100k to £4M.
3. Strong leadership in managing contract staff for individual projects.
4. Chartered status in Chemical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
