Credit Hire File Handler
Location: Bolton
Salary: £23,000-£26,000
Are you experienced in credit hire and passionate about delivering exceptional service? Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Credit Hire File Handler to join their team.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to investigate complex credit hire claims from both a tactical and strategic standpoint. As a File Handler, you will conduct in-depth and technical investigations on claims submitted by designated opponents, with a focus on claims up to a value of £25,000.
Joining their team will provide you with an incredible opportunity to gain further experience in investigating and reducing credit hire claims for our Insurer clients.

Key Accountabilities:
1. Education: Minimum of 3 GCSEs or equivalent, with a degree preferred
2. Ability to use own initiative
3. Effective planning and prioritisation skills
4. Excellent verbal and active listening abilities
5. Strong telephone negotiation skills
6. Adherence to work processes and strategies
7. Ability to recognise and respond with sensitivity and tact
8. Effective decision-making and composure under pressure
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and experience with Case Management Systems preferred
10. Minimum of 12 months experience in a credit hire environment
Technical knowledge to be developed:
1. Understanding of Pre-Proceedings Credit Hire
2. Familiarity with the life cycle of a file
3. Knowledge of common law and litigation principles
4. Comprehension of costs and protective offers
5. Ability to prepare a case for litigation
Personal Development:

The File Handler's aptitude and desire to transition to different business units (such as litigated fast track, fraud, or multi-track work) will determine further career progression.

Working Hours:
35 hours per week
Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch. This is a hybrid role working 1 day in the office and 4 days from home.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
1. Experience handling credit hire files with evidence of managing own case load
2. Education: Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent, with a degree or LPC preferred
3. Ability to use own initiative
4. Effective planning and prioritisation skills
5. Excellent verbal and active listening abilities
