Description: The Head of Human Resources will lead the HR function of a region of our European operations, specifically the UK, Netherlands, and a very small number of employees in Belgium and Italy. This position will be accountable for designing and implementing short to medium-term strategy and deploying corporate initiatives across the region, the entire HR life-cycle of activities, leading the HR team, and providing pro-active, strategic HR support to the Region, manufacturing sites, and corporate business segments. This role will cover the entire HR spectrum with a particular emphasis on generalist HR activities encompassing the entire employee life-cycle: building a talent pipeline, hiring and retaining outstanding talent, employee relations, performance management, total reward administration, business partnering, employee engagement initiatives and more.
Role Specific Responsibilities:
* HR Business Partner for the region - member of leadership team, provides guidance/coaching to leadership team
* Support regional leaders, Site Directors, and their teams on all aspects of Human Resource Management, ensuring best practices, proactively developing the role of HR as business partner.
* Change agent to drive/implement desired behavioral and organizational changes across the region, aligned with business and corporate HR strategies.
* Build solid and influential regional relationships based on respect and trust.
* Ensure fair, equitable, and competitive total compensation and benefits package that fits and is aligned to our company’s strategy and business goals.
* Deliver HR programs and projects across the region to support organizational goals.
* Advise and guide managers and employees on all HR matters, embedding a performance-oriented culture and values.
* Support people development and succession planning initiatives ensuring deliverables in line with business strategy.
* Ensure core HR processes are applied pragmatically and in a legally compliant manner.

Compliance, Problem Solving and Innovation, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education and Qualifications:
* Master of Business Administration in Human Resources, or Postgraduate degree in Business management related discipline.
* HR professional accreditation.
Experience:
* Minimum 10 years HR experience, at least five years in a leadership/management position.
* HR Business Partnering experience.
* Experience of working in manufacturing, ideally Chemical Manufacturing.
Essential Experience:
* Working for a multi-national organization.
* HR leadership in more than one country.
* Working with Trade Unions / Works Council.
Language: Fluent in English, Dutch/other European languages advantageous.
