Job Description:
Active Outdoors Assistant x 5 - East Bergholt
Summary
We’re looking for someone who loves the outdoor life and wants to help people to enjoy it in their own way. Our Active Outdoors Assistant role is all about giving people a warm welcome, sharing practical information and offering helpful advice. Whether it’s helping with cycle hire or supporting other active outdoor activities, you’ll play a key part in making sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable experience.
For this role, you’ll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a C.V. or online application form. This will help us understand more about your strengths and give you more information on the role.
What it's like to work here
In this role you’ll be part of a team of 5 Active Outdoors Assistant’s based at Flatford. You’ll report to the Active Outdoors Co-ordinator.
What you'll be doing
Day to day, you’ll be working with volunteers to make sure our bikes are safe and ready to be hired. You’ll be advising people on outdoor activities, helping with events like ‘parkrun’ and Trust10, and generally making sure that everyone has all the information and guidance they need to enjoy their time outdoors.
Your job is all about creating the best possible experience for everyone. You’ll chat to people to understand their needs and offer relevant advice, while also keeping an eye on safety and maintenance. It’s in your hands to help as many people as possible to enjoy their time in the countryside in whatever way they’d like to.
You can view the full role profile for this role in the document attached. You don't need to have all of the knowledge, skills and experience listed in the role profile; this is just to provide a full picture of what’s possible in this role.
