Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday

Are you an experienced Early Years practitioner with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? A fantastic mainstream primary school in Islington is looking for a dedicated SEN Nursery Teaching Assistant to join their team for the summer term, with the possibility of extending the role into September 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supporting children within the EYFS setting, ensuring their development and well-being.
2. Working 1:1 and in small groups with SEN pupils, adapting learning activities to meet their needs.
3. Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging, inclusive lessons.
4. Using strategies to support children with ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or other additional needs.
5. Collaborating with SENCOs, therapists, and parents to track progress and provide effective interventions.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience in EYFS within a school or nursery setting.
2. Experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASD, ADHD, or speech and language needs.
3. A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to supporting young learners.
4. A Level 2 or 3 childcare qualification (desirable but not essential).
5. Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
