Assistant Manager, Professional Education and Events
Our Professional Education and Events team are responsible for supporting an ambitious calendar of professional education events for qualified medical professionals, both within our bespoke facility in Slough, and in hospitals and training centres throughout the UK. They also support the organisation and successful execution of key industry exhibitions.
We are looking for an Assistant Manager to oversee and ensure the smooth execution of events. Whilst this role does not directly manage the team, you would need to use influence and motivational techniques to ensure targets and deadlines are met.
You will also be highly organised and have experience in marketing or event coordination. If this sounds like you, come and join a team that is making a real difference in the professional knowledge and standards for minimally invasive surgery in the UK.
What You'll Do:
1. Manage and plan exhibitions and workshops, and coordinate with Business Managers to support the calendar of industry exhibitions.
2. Manage budgets and ensure activities deliver a reasonable return on investment.
3. Oversee booking processes for stand spaces, payments, and record-keeping.
4. Work with partner companies to organise successful trade shows, congresses, and events.
5. Influence the output of Professional Education & Events Coordinators to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials.
6. Manage processes such as equipment bookings and returns.
7. Collaborate with the Technology and Training Centre (TTC) team for equipment logistics at in-house training courses.
What You'll Need:
1. A marketing qualification/degree or equivalent experience.
2. At least 2 years’ experience in Events or Professional Education Marketing.
3. Strong administrative and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
4. Experience managing processes and ensuring efficiency.
5. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
