*The role:*
Wehave a phenomenal opportunity to grow your career as a Chromatographyand Mass Spectrometry Account Manager where you will be responsiblefor serving customers with the full suite of products from within theChromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division (CMD) which includesinstrumentation, software, service and consumables within in a definedterritory. Customer's served will include but not limited toAcademia, Government, Pharma/Biopharma, Environmental, Industrial,Food Safety and Healthcare.
Previous sales experience ofinstrumentation is an advantage, however, we will considerapplications from candidates with experience using relevantinstrumentation in a laboratory environment who are considering achange in career direction.
*Territory: *Newcastle, Teeside, Yorkand Cumbria
*What will you do:*
*Selling Agility*
* Identifies and prioritizes new client opportunities and developssolution implementation and growth strategies.
* Leads andnurtures account relationships to drive expansion and renewals acrossthe full CMD portfolio (analytical instruments, consumables,services).
* Works collaboratively with customers, internalresources and specialists to identify, documents and confirm the besttechnology choice to meet customer needs.
* Provides quotation,negotiates contracts and closes orders after identifying and engagingall stake-holders in the buying process.
* Applies data andmetrics to develop and report on account development strategies andtactics
*Drives Growth*
* Expands current accountpenetration and share of wallet. Grows organically, broader and deeperwith all primary products.
* Develops sales strategies to meetplan and expand business within assigned territory; maintains apipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed all sales objectives
* Uses sales tools to optimally own the accounts and forecast in anaccurate and timely manner.
* Maintains awareness of competitorsand industry activity and introduces new products and services asavailable
*Leadership*
* Leads collaboration andcoordinates with internal technical resources to provide technicalexpertise.
* Attends and runs technical business meetings, andwhen required attends trade shows, user meetings, and other customerevents.
* Exchanges sales leads within and across Thermo FisherScientific commercial divisions.
* Works authoritatively in ateam selling environment engaging the best internal company resourcesto solve customer challenges.
*What we need from you:*
* Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biology or other appliedsciences fields or equivalent combination of education andexperience.
* Strong motivation to serve our customers and overachieve in a dynamic commercial environment.
* Excellentinterpersonal skills, both written and oral, and the ability to buildand sustain long lasting relationships with customers.
* Abilityto work well autonomously and as part of a team.
* Proficient inEnglish both written and oral.
* Full UK driving licence.
*Computer proficiency in MS Office and other related programs.
*Willingness to learn the technical aspects of Thermo FisherScientific’s scientific product portfolio, application workflows andselling skills. Comprehensive sales and product training will beprovided to the successful candidate.
* Ability to travel tocustomer locations up to 80% including overnight travel.
