Job Purpose
Lancaster & Craven area technical officer. A very high-profile area and therefore a high-profile role, ensuring compliance for all Lancaster & Craven WwTW assets.
Job Accountabilities
As a Technical Officer you will be required to analyse and interpret operational performance information in the area, proactively identifying and implementing corrective actions within Health & Safety requirements; and escalating regulatory or performance risks to the Production Manager as appropriate.
You will be responsible for:
* Creating, developing, implementing and reporting on area action plans
* Supporting Process Controllers and Operators to develop strong technical capability and competence
* Identifying operational problems and existing asset needs
* Contributing to the provision of area information for regulatory returns and EA correspondence
* Monitoring the district telemetry system
* Proactive in the delivery of appropriate site-specific action plans and procedures.
Knowledge and Skills
To be successful in this role you will need an in-depth technical knowledge of the wastewater treatment process with appropriate operational experience.
You will also need:
* To have completed or be working towards an accredited qualification or standard that is relevant to your role in a technical discipline
* The ability to balance a busy workload whilst managing to meet key targets and produce high quality work.
* Excellent communication skills.
* The ability to utilise all analytical data tools.
* Knowledge of safe systems of work, company policy, statutory regulations, operations procedures, maintenance procedures, administration procedures.
* A full driving licence
