This is a fantastic opportunity to join their FP&A team to work closely with and support the FP&A Manager in driving change and implementing and improving processes, contributing to producing long-term financial plans, managing the annual budgeting cycle, and overseeing in-year forecasting. In this crucial role, you will liaise widely across the business with the Finance Department, Budget Holders and Senior Management and enable proactive decision- making aligned with the company's strategic objectives. PURPOSE: The FP&A Business Partner will support the FP&A Manager in advancing the department's strategic focus, emphasising forward-looking insights and providing internal stakeholders with precise, actionable financial data. As a critical member of the FP&A team, this role will contribute to producing long-term financial plans, managing the annual budgeting cycle, and overseeing in-year forecasting. Additionally, the FP&A Business Partner will help maintain and refine the Activity Based Costing (ABC) model, ensuring its relevance to organisational decision-making. RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead the consolidation of the annual budget, including the preparation of templates, facilitating budget holder reviews, and coordinating feedback. Enhance monthly variance reporting to support the management accounts, ensuring robust analysis and insights. Develop the Chart of Accounts to support P&L reporting by brand, market, and customer account. Build further financial insights by attributing cost centre allocation strategies. Support the FP&A Manager in creating accurate forward forecasts for the financial year. Work towards establishing a 12-month rolling forecast to directly support and aid long-term strategic planning (3-Year Plan / Budget). Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders (e.g. Heads of Department / Commercial Team) to facilitate effective forecasting processes. Translate the annual budget into activity-based cost pools, supporting factory gate reporting. Oversee the maintenance of the live ABC model, updating inputs and outputs as necessary Continuously improve the ABC model to enhance its relevance and accuracy in supporting business decisions whilst evolving the data to match the operational journey of the business Analysis of customer, market, and brand profitability using the ABC model outputs. Providing variance explanations, including forecast-on-forecast changes. Delivering updated forecasts that include risks and opportunities relative to the current plan. Supporting key performance indicator (KPI) development and monitoring You will be fully qualified CIMA/ACCA/CA with proficiency in financial modelling and forecasting and strong analytical skills with a focus on process improvement Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration are key and a proactive, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving is a must.
