In partnership with Legal & General PLC and NatWest Pension Trustee Limited, with hugely ambitious (and very achievable) growth plans, we are seeking a Wellbeing / Gym Assistant to join our expanding Wellbeing team. The Role: To be actively involved in encouraging all residents and external gym members to improve and maintain fitness. You will take responsibility for encouraging all our members to improve their general health and fitness as well as managing our state-of-the-art gym on behalf of our residents and the wider community. Support the Community and Wellbeing Manager to provide consistent and holistic health and wellbeing services within and around our villages. Key Responsibilities - Gym management: Ensuring opening and closing procedures are carried out with specific emphasis on checking and documenting the maintenance and safety of all equipment Providing fitness assessments, consultations, and introduction sessions to each member and where possible creating personal exercise programs as required, advising on healthy lifestyles Undertaking the Exercise on Referral training Setting up and running courses/classes and undertaking training to meet the demands of users, instructing classes as and when required. Marketing and Promotion: Marketing and promoting memberships and classes to potential members Developing and leading marketing and promotions of the health & fitness facilities Be involved in all social activities and promotions with other team members and assist in the organization and efficient running of events. Community: Support local older people to manage their health proactively by making informed decisions about their lifestyle and health through assessments, promotion, awareness sessions, and drop-in clinics. Programmes and activities should also provide support to those living with dementia or caring for those who do. Wellbeing: One social activity per month with residents in conjunction with the F&B team to generate revenue. One event, activity, or talk per month on health, wellbeing, or general interest for residents. Identify isolated residents and implement a personalized plan that enhances well-being through home visits or increasing their social activities. Health & Safety: Taking responsibility for the cleanliness of the facilities Carrying out regular tests on the pool and steam room Removing any faulty or broken equipment from use Being fully aware of the Pool, Gymnasium, Steam Room, and communal policy and procedures ensuring that these are adhered to Undertaking pool safety and water hygiene checks and recording all results per procedures. Working Hours: This is a part-time opportunity where the Wellbeing / Gym Assistant will work 30 hours per week, 4 over 7 days.
