Shift Timings – Full time, Minimum 37 hours a week
The Security Regional Operational support Manager will be responsible for assisting in managing a team of Security Officers and the daily operation of multiple contracts across the South West region.
We are ideally looking for a proven manager within the industry who has vigour, vitality, and a will to succeed in this often-demanding industry.
You will be responsible for working with the Regional Director for driving health, safety, wellbeing, and profitability of the area of responsibility.
Your main responsibilities may include:
Direct management of multiple sites across the region
Direct & Indirect management of security supervisors across the region
Overseeing all aspects of service delivery
Conduct regular client and site meetings, to ensure their needs are met and you are providing best in class service whilst constantly stretching KPI targets to improve the service offerings and delivery
Ensuring compliance with risk assessments & assignment instructions
Conduct training of security staff and managers where required and to recruit additional team members as required
Help motivate the team with a view to developing individuals through the business who are recognised as future leaders, leading from the front and ensuring a best in class service to client via a fully functioning operational team
be an escalation point for the region and clients
Manage and support complex HR Cases including redundancy, disciplinary, grievance and appeals
Understand site budgets and have P&L accountability across the region in order to accurately report spend to Regional Director
Critical
performance measures
To complete all allocated tasks efficiently and follow procedures, meeting and exceeding company standards and ensuring we work within current legalisation
Keep the team informed of any operational changes and that these are adopted at each site
Implementing action plans to rectify poor performance, either KPI operational performance or poor behaviours, ensuring results are acted upon and audits are undertaken regularly to check improvements have been implemented and maintained
To support in the measure of financial performance with the finance and operational teams
To ensure that sites work safely and within the H&S guidance that this is always followed by yourself and your team
Always conduct all works with customer focus and professional image
Experience
Experience with Manned Guarding security operations across multiple locations
Evidence of consistently motivating and managing teams
Proven client relationship and operational management of key accounts essential
Strong understanding and evidence of implementing best practice in health and safety and risk assessments.
Personal Attributes
Highly developed interpersonal and management skills
Self-motivated / hands on and a leader who drives the site and service forward from the front.
Strong understanding of key security legislative requirements including but not exclusive to licensing, vetting and BS7858.
Good commercial and financial acumen.
Excellent Interpersonal Abilities (oral & written)
Ability to demonstrate strong personal integrity.
Excellent IT skills (Excel, Outlook/Calendar, Word etc.) is essential.
Strong leadership style with a focus on supporting and developing colleagues.
Qualifications required
Valid SIA license required
A health and safety qualification- NEBOSH/IOSH (Desirable)
A formal change management qualification ( Desirable)
Must have a Drivers license
