Progress Teachers are working with a local mainstream Secondary School to appoint experienced and impactful teachers of Maths. The successful candidate will be required to plan and deliver lessons to pupils across KS3/KS4, supporting them to develop key skills and competencies in the subject area, as well as fostering a love for learning.

Responsibilities:
1. Deliver Engaging Lessons: Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that engage pupils and help them develop key skills.
2. Assessment and Feedback: Conduct regular assessments to monitor pupil progress, maintaining accurate records of outcomes.
3. Classroom Management: Manage classroom behaviour effectively through the consistent use of the School's behaviour policy.
4. Wider School Responsibilities: Engage and actively participate in wider professional responsibilities such as lunchtime duty, parents evenings, and transition open evenings as required by the School.
Qualification Requirements:
1. Teaching Qualifications: A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) with a focus on Maths is highly advantageous; however, experienced non-qualified teachers will also be considered for the role.
2. Subject Knowledge: A degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field is essential.
3. Teaching Experience: Proven experience as a Secondary teacher with a successful track record of student achievement is positive, but not essential. Strong ECTs will also be considered for this role.
4. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and parents.
5. Commitment to Inclusion: A commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse learning environment that caters to the needs of all students.
6. A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain.
