We are looking for an Assistant Front Office Manager to join our team at the luxurious five-star plus Old Parsonage Hotel, which is part of ‘The Oxford Collection’; a small, independently owned group of luxury hotels and restaurants in central Oxford, comprising Gees Restaurant & Bar, the Old Parsonage Hotel, Parsonage Grill, the Old Bank Hotel and Quod Restaurant & Bar. Assistant Front Office Manager responsibilities: To represent and maintain the hotel’s high standards of personal presentation and behaviour, overseeing the procedures of the reception department, whilst on duty as a working member of the team. To inspire a positive attitude to teamwork, contributing to the smooth running of reception and encouraging productive interaction with all other departments. To liaise with the Front Office Manager & Head Housekeeper, ensuring the flow of communication necessary for the hotel’s efficient operation, at five-star standards. To maintain the image and culture of the team, developing the skills of reception staff, in conjunction with the Front Office Manager. To maximise the hotel’s occupancy through efficient handling of enquiries, together with good teamwork and communication. To practise effective rate management through familiarisation with the hotel’s business trends, relevant to seasonal and local market forces. To support the Front Office Manager in maintaining and updating Reception procedures; ensuring daily checklists are completed, for training and procedural purposes. We offer a sensible shift pattern across a 40-hour working week (Monday to Sunday rota with two days off) with a salary of £30,118.40 per annum plus non-contractual service charge (tronc).
