As a key member of the Blackdown Hills National Landscape team, lead and undertake Project Development & Delivery activity, in order to realise Nature, Climate, People and Place outcomes, underpinned by sound evidence as well as conserve and enhance the National Landscape's rich historic and cultural heritage.
The Blackdown Hills National Landscape is one of 34 nationally designated landscapes in England that together with National Parks form the protected landscapes network that covers around 26% of England. The AONB is 370 square kilometres in size, straddling the Devon & Somerset border, across four council areas. There are around 80 organisations in the National Landscape Partnership.
The postholder will be responsible to the National Landscape Manager for securing external grant aid for new projects, managing/ delivering agreed projects (some of which will have been secured by the postholder) as well as providing support for other existing National Landscape Partnership projects.
Responsible for issuing contracts to outside consultants for development work, which vary from £1,000 to £100,000 in value.
