The post holder will work to ensure the continued provision and development of high quality, comprehensive clinical pharmacy services to patients as well as influence senior managers and clinicians within the Rheumatology and Respiratory Directorates. We will provide the successful candidate with a comprehensive induction covering all aspects of Trust work, support from senior pharmacy staff and an environment to develop further.The Pharmacy Service at St George's is highly regarded across the Trust and South West London region, with around 270 staff members working closely with multi-disciplinary teams. Main duties of the job o Act as a Team Lead Pharmacist for Rheumatology and ILD services including independent prescribing services and attendance at joint outpatient clinics and ward rounds.o Manage and lead the pharmacy rheumatology and ILD teams within the organisation and across interface boundaries.o Work as an expert pharmacist for rheumatology and ILD services, contributing to advanced decision making within multi-disciplinary teams at St George's Hospital and jointly with wider regional groups.o Manage and implement services designed to improve the pharmaceutical care to patients and extend the boundaries of clinical practice.o Support the growing rheumatology team which already acts as a highly specialist hub for NHSE services for the wider Surrey and London regions. o Support the advancing ILD antifibrotic service which will be a centre of expertise for the wider London region.o Identify and support the facilitation of CIPs within the relevant directorate and participate in financial reporting and drug budget management.o Progress service improvement initiatives through multi-disciplinary working to ensure safe and timely provision of medicines.o To participate in service metric collection, clinical audit, research, risk management and clinical guideline development.
