We have a brilliant opportunity for a tech-savvy and detail-oriented retail professional who has a keen interest in software systems and processes to join us as a Junior Retail Business Analyst!
This is an exciting and varied role where you will work closely with our Product team in supporting our notable high street retail clients in the implementation, adoption, and new product development of itim's powerful and best-in-class omnichannel solutions.
To be effective in this Business Analyst role, you will already have great expertise and knowledge in retail operations and processes, as well as strong numerical analysis and strong written and verbal communication skills. This role would suit dynamic merchandisers, retail ops, ecommerce, stock planners or system orientated retail professionals who can bring their industry expertise to contribute significantly to itim’s continued growing success with fantastic opportunities to further develop and expand your career.

What You’ll Do
Working closely with our product team, you will play a key role in both client projects and our internal product development program. Your responsibilities will include:
* System Analysis & Documentation: Use industry-standard modeling software to analyse, document, and maintain system functions and business processes.
* Reporting & Business Intelligence: Collaborate with Project Managers and clients to identify reporting needs and transform them into detailed functional specifications. Work with BI developers to test, review, and validate new reporting features.
* Product & Data Analysis: Evaluate product information across integrated systems and assist in streamlining product management processes. Analyse pricing structures and promotion engines, supporting clients with setup and user acceptance testing.
* Data Management & Support: Assist clients during implementations by validating and transforming data using advanced Excel skills and basic SQL queries. Provide 3rd line support alongside our Support Analysts for critical application issues.
* Documentation & Training: Develop functional requirement documents, technical specifications, and user guides that empower clients and internal teams alike.
What We’re Looking For
* Retail Expertise: A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a retail head office function (e.g., merchandising, operations, ecommerce) with hands-on exposure to process improvement and data reporting. Bonus for experience in eCommerce.
* Technical Proficiency: Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Data Imports, VLookup) and solid knowledge of Microsoft Word. Bonus points for experience with Microsoft Access, Visio, and basic SQL.
* Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
* Personal Attributes: A proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience. Please note this is an entry-level role, where we will provide comprehensive training in business analysis. As such, the salary range will reflect the candidate's experience level.
