This a full time role based at our client in Skelmersdale.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for upkeep of the building
and its infrastructure. Their role is to maintain building operations and ensure that the facilities are always safe and
functional
What You'll Do:
• Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
• Inspecting equipment, buildings and systems, including heating, ventilation and air conditioning, Water Systems
Treatment, shutter doors, meter reading and other PM tasks within the CAFM system
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker
panels etc.)
• Respond to technical issues affecting the building & facility management equipment and maintain services
through Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
• Completing small repairs such as fixing locks, toilets, leaky taps broken doors and windows.
• Checking and maintaining safety equipment such as weekly fire alarms, fire extinguishers, intruder alarm, roof
fall arrest anchors, but not limited to.
• Good understanding of CAFM system
• Responsible for operating the CAFM System to close completed facility management PPM's and reactive work
correctly in line with service delivery.
• Able to organise workload and manage the completion of the facility management planned & reactive tasks.
• Formulating, Assessing and Validating Risk Assessments, Method Statements from subcontractor prior to
commencing work.
• Ensuring all specialist service contractors paperwork including report sheets, Authority to works, RAMS/Permit
to works filled in CBRE QHSE e-logbooks to maintain excellent recording keeping
• Able to deliver consistently high standards within pressurised situations and have a good knowledge of current
legislation regarding Health & Safety, RAMS/PTW, Quality, COSHH, British/European standards.
• Highlight defaults/failings with critical maintenance equipment to Site Lead Supervisor so open dialogue can be
had with our client and plans to mitigate risk to equipment.
• Bring forward new innovative ideas to Site Lead Supervisor to be presented to our client to demonstrate
continuous improvement in the contract
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc
• Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently
• Educated to a minimum of City & Guild
