Main duties of the job
The Trust is looking for candidates with general paediatric experience who are interested in helping to develop our existing services and be part of a forward thinking, innovative Paediatric team.
This post includes a 1:8 non-resident on call rota.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic generalist paediatrician with solid neonatal skills, who enjoys working in beautiful rural and coastal Scarborough. You will be able to provide all aspects of paediatric and neonatal care and develop a subspecialty interest. We provide initial stabilisation for critically ill children and neonates with the support of our emergency medicine and anaesthetic colleagues, our dedicated paediatric and neonatal Embrace transport team and regional tertiary teams.
There is excellent on-call family accommodation close to the hospital if needed.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Hold a medical qualification
* Registered and holds a licence to practice with the GMC
* Entry on the GMC Specialist Register in paediatrics via; CCT (proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of interview) - CESR
* An appropriate higher qualification eg MRCPCH
* APLS, NLS and Level 3 safeguarding
* Substantive NHS experience
Clinical Practice/Competence
* Experience in neonatology
Mentoring and Teaching
* Experience of teaching undergraduate and post graduate trainees
* Experience of undertaking audits and presenting their findings
* Experience of supervising SpRs/specialist trainees
* Publications in peer review journals
Team Work
* Ability to work in a multi disciplinary team
