ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Root Cause Analysis & Problem Solving
o Identify, investigate, and resolve chronic and complex quality issues using structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, DMAIC, Fishbone, 5 Whys).
o Conduct failure analysis and lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
2. Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement
o Utilise statistical tools, SPC, and data analytics to monitor quality trends and drive improvements.
o Develop and implement quality improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma principles.
3. Quality Systems & Compliance
o Ensure adherence to industry regulations, standards, and company quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IATF 16949, etc.).
o Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, analysis, and process improvements.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
o Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, suppliers, and leadership to resolve quality issues and drive process optimization.
o Participate in design and process reviews (e.g., DFMEA, PFMEA) to proactively address potential quality concerns.
5. Nonconformance Management
o Lead investigations into nonconforming products and processes, ensuring effective disposition and resolution.
o Track and report key quality metrics, implementing corrective measures to reduce defect rates and improve reliability.
6. Supplier & Manufacturing Support
o Partner with suppliers to address chronic quality concerns, implement supplier corrective actions (SCARs), and ensure long-term quality improvements.
o Support production teams in troubleshooting quality issues and optimizing manufacturing processes.
7. Documentation & Reporting
o Maintain detailed records of investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions.
o Prepare and present quality reports, dashboards, and recommendations to leadership.
8. Risk Management & Prevention
o Conduct risk assessments and mitigation planning to proactively address potential quality risks.
o Implement best practices for defect prevention and quality assurance in manufacturing and product development.
9. Training & Mentorship
o Provide guidance and training to teams on quality methodologies, problem-solving techniques, and regulatory compliance.
o Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement across the organization.
This role is critical in ensuring long-term product reliability, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency through the resolution of persistent and complex quality challenges.
