RLDM is a small, growing practice that specializes in the residential sector. We work on projects of all scales from extensions and refurbishments to large scale commercial developments. We work across the UK, predominantly with work in London, Manchester and South Yorkshire. We are currently seeking a passionate and motivated Architectural Assistant or newly qualified Architect to join our growing team and contribute to our practice.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the creation and development of architectural designs, from conceptual stages through to detailed design and construction.
* Support senior architects with research, design development, and technical documentation.
* Produce 2D and 3D drawings all working in a 3D workflow. Experience of Revit or Vectorworks is a strong advantage.
* Prepare presentation material, such as models, renderings, and reports.
* Collaborate with other team members and external consultants to ensure the design meets client requirements and regulatory standards.
* Attend project meetings and site visits when required to ensure smooth project progression.
* Manage project timelines and deliverables effectively.
Qualifications & Skills:
* A degree in Architecture
* Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Vectorworks, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp) and other design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, etc.).
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality design work.
* Good understanding of building regulations and construction methods.
* Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Previous experience in a similar role or internships would be an advantage.
