The Role
We are looking for an individual with the skills to manage and grow the Rapid Rail Crane Wheel Lubrication Department, an automated system that is unique in the heavy engineering sector.
This role will provide full autonomy for the individual to take a tried and tested product full of potential and to grow the overall sales in line with the expectations of the business. The successful candidate will need to ensure compliance with all company processes, stock management, procurement, and sales administration. They will have full input into sales and marketing strategies, product costing, packaging and dispatch, manufacturing, purchasing, and all other areas related to the product.
Supported by the company directors and the sales and project team, this role will require travel to and from job sites to meet and discuss client requirements, providing quotations to supply materials and to install automated lubrication systems in a variety of different engineering sectors including manufacturing, power generation, and ports.
The role will be varied and we are looking for a motivated and driven individual that is able to work on their own initiative to increase the sales turnover and market share of the product and deliver an exceptional service to our clients. The role will also benefit from a performance-related bonus in line with the growth of the Lubrication Business Sales.
Responsibilities:
* Estimating and processing of Sales Enquiries and Orders
* Packing and dispatching
* Identifying and winning new business
* Attending client meetings and site visits
* Installation of lubrication systems / Organising Installations
* Maximising existing client potential and developing long-term relationships with clients
* Product design, future development of the system
The right candidate will ideally have:
* A technical background in Engineering or Equivalent discipline
* Fully Computer literate - experience of Sage / CRM systems would be beneficial
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* An ability to read and understand technical drawings
* AutoCAD 2D or Solidworks drafting skills desirable but NOT essential
* Solutions oriented with a practical and flexible 'can-do' approach to work
* Excellent organisational skills
* Good teamwork ability
Expectations on reporting:
Weekly requirements:
* General company update (morning meeting)
* Weekly work planner
* 1 day on site (client meetings / site visits)
Monthly requirements:
* L-I-O-N meetings (individual performance)
* Monthly sales forecasting meetings (3 month rolling)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
