Warehouse Manager £50,000 Syston Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm The Role: Responsible for a complex & fast-paced Warehouse & Logistics operation. The role is to manage all aspects of the warehouse including Goods In, Stocktaking, Inventory, Picking, Packing and Returns and Despatch. What will you be doing? Creating and embedding a continuous improvement culture, running the area on a daily basis: leading, driving and developing the team to achieve high standards in quality, cost, service, health safety & environment and people. Managing and providing support to the team to enable them to carry out their tasks in full. Provide control and planning of activities in their area, to ensure alignment with the annual company objectives. Working closely with HSE/Technical/Operations, Supply Chain, IT & Engineering teams Ensuring all suppliers and deliveries are complying to Food Safety and Quality standards Ensure all internal and external customer orders are shipped within the agreed time limits every day, every week, every month Maintenance of our stock data within our ERP system ensuring accuracy across all internal and external storage locations, working closely with factory teams across all areas to maintain control Co-ordinate stock taking activities across all stock locations through cycle counts and formal monthly stock takes Manage and motivate the FLM’s ensuring that they are sufficiently skilled and capable to fulfil the requirements of their roles. Perform regular reviews which identify areas for improved performance. Manage skills development and training plans within the area, building succession plans and inducting new team members. Control and manage waste to minimise environmental impact ensuring all incidents are reported and investigated. Ensure that all technical procedures and policies are robustly adhered to ensure all products are food safe and meet all quality standards Assist the technical department when conducting factory trials to ensure no delays in the product launch What will you bring to the party? Experience of people management Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) – the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively at all levels. Experienced warehousing professional with a demonstratable track record in driving change and instilling control 3PL service provision and compliance management experience Experience of WMS and / or ERP software such as SAP, JDE, Other with strong IT skills (including Excel and data analysis) Experienced with food manufacturing Automated Implementation Experience What Happens Next?
