We are HMGCC, His Majesty's Government Communications Centre, the engineering specialists at the heart of the UK’s national security. If you’ve got the skills we’re looking for, you’ll find a place in our diverse team.
Your role
Joining a highly skilled team, you’ll learn plenty of new skills and develop those you already possess in our purpose-built manufacturing facility as you do unique and varied work that impacts our mission to protect the UK. You’ll apply your knowledge and experience of manual machining techniques to manufacture prototype components, tooling jigs and fixtures to design and specification. Operating the latest machinery and tech, you’ll help deliver bespoke products to our national security partners, meeting quality assurance standards every time.
What you need
With experience in manual machining – perhaps previously working as a CNC Machinist or Mill Operator – you’ll be adept at reading and interpreting engineering drawings. While you consistently look for ways to achieve efficient and effective results, you’ll always ensure you’re utilising inspection techniques and upholding quality standards. And you’ll be keen to keep learning and growing as part of a collaborative team, open to different ideas and ways of working.
What we offer
Dedicated to your development, we offer significant opportunities to support your career growth – from internal courses to a distant learning degree. Plus, you’ll be part of a welcoming, inclusive environment where people from all kinds of backgrounds – with different lived experiences and perspectives – come together. As well as a range of sports and social societies for you to meet new people, we have a number of affinity groups including disability, LGBTQIA+ and ethnic minority networks. It’s all to help you feel comfortable bringing your whole self to work. And, you’ll also get access to our excellent on-site facilities, including free parking, free 24-hour gym, and a nursery.
