What you’ll be responsible for
A key element of this role as an Apprentice ICA Technician is providing Instrumentation, Control, and Automation support and expertise for the treatment works and associated assets, ensuring compliance.
Your college/training provider will be Bridgend College (Travel will be likely if the role is based elsewhere. If it is deemed that the college is not a realistic daily commute, accommodation will be provided).
What you’ll be learning:
* To carry out planned maintenance of ICA plants and make decisions on both tasks and frequencies to balance regular checks and the number of breakdowns.
* To respond to breakdowns on a wide variety of ICA plants, assess problems, decide on action, acquire spares, and carry out repairs as necessary.
* Recommend design changes if necessary to ensure that the plant continues to function efficiently and effectively to maintain levels of service.
About you
A minimum of Grade B in GCSE Maths and Grade C in English and Science (or equivalent) is required, and you should be working towards a driving licence if you haven’t already obtained one.
