Our client is a leading player in the professional workwear industry, providing high-quality, innovative, and protective, but fashionable clothing solutions to their valued customers across Europe. With a solid presence and track record in the UK market, they are poised for substantial growth in the coming years, especially from wellbeing, private medical, aesthetics industries and the NHS.
To achieve their ambitious growth projections they have restructured the sales department and appointed a new Sales Director who is bringing a renewed drive and passion to this established business. The Sales Director is building a performance focussed team that is delivering organic sales growth through new business development and innovative account management.
The junior account manager role is an office based role with occasional visits to existing clients. This role reports to the key account manager who has been with the business for 1 year. The key accounts department has seen great success over the last 12 months with organic growth exceeding expectations - this is a high performing small team that the successful candidate will need to integrate with - quickly.
This role would suit a person that has some experience of growing and developing key account sales. They must be a natural problem solver and have a hands-on and structured approach to increasing business from clients. We are not looking for the finished article as the existing team are experienced but applicants must be naturally consultative in their communication style and innovative when it comes to meeting the needs of the customer, they must also be willing to learn how the account management team functions and be prepared to provide support across the whole department.
It's worth noting that our client is currently delivering a business improvement programme for the benefit of its customers, the programme includes people, process and systems. This means that the current way of working involves a mixture of paper based systems and bespoke IT systems - the candidate's ability to work across a broad range of systems and bring innovative ways of problem solving in this current environment is key to this role.
Objectives for the key account executive:
In 6 Months:
* Learn how the current systems operate and integrate into the team.
* Map out key clients and produce a plan to increase revenue with these existing clients
* Build relationships with existing clients, solve their problems to exceed their expectations
Within 3 Years:
* Be responsible for several key accounts, increasing sales and service.
* Have a thorough understanding of the business including manufacturing, supply chain, distribution, service, sales and marketing
