About the role:
You will achieve sales targets and overall business goals through the establishment, maintenance, and improvement of business relationships and market knowledge.
Other elements to the role include:
* Responsible for maintaining and updating the regional tender and live projects alongside the account management system.
* Follow up and provide detailed updates on our current and prospect customers.
* Respond to customer enquiries and provide quotations in a timely manner.
* Responsible for meeting KPI’s set by line manager.
* Secure new customers, accounts, and orders.
* Maximise customer account expenditure in line with the agreed credit limit.
* Trade with suppliers and re-price work where we’re uncompetitive.
* Gain market intelligence and add to our existing database.
* Seek and establish market knowledge, competitor activity, customer activity, and action in line with commercial policy.
* Provide solutions for customers using internal and external sources.
* Complete all sales admin tasks designated by line manager.
* Deliver the company mission of best value through great service, on a large selection of products, all at a competitive price.
The successful candidate:
Skills required:
* Experienced in office administration and customer service via telephone.
* Information seeking/questioning techniques.
* Self-motivated and able to work under your own initiative.
* Able to work collaboratively with the team.
