With a strong reputation in the industry, they specialise in Battery Energy Storage Solutions (BESS) ranging from 100kWh to 20MWh, providing behind-the-meter solutions to support energy cost reduction, ESG targets, decarbonisation, grid resilience, and microgrid applications. The Role: Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of BESS projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in battery storage solutions, electrical engineering, or electrical contracting. This role requires commercial acumen, expertise in contract negotiations and dispute resolution, and a deep understanding of industry-standard contract forms such as JCT, FIDIC, and NEC. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage BESS projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, quality assurance, and cost control. Oversee project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder engagement. Ensure technical compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements. Manage contractual and commercial aspects of projects, including negotiation, variation management, and dispute resolution. Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, procurement, and commercial teams, to drive project success. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure effective communication and project alignment. Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards. Drive continuous improvement in project execution and commercial strategies. Essential Requirements: Proven experience in Project Management within Battery Storage, Renewable Energy, or Electrical Contracting. Strong technical knowledge of BESS, microgrids, and energy storage solutions. Background in electrical engineering or electrical contracting. Extensive experience in commercial negotiations, contract management, and dispute resolution. In-depth understanding of JCT, FIDIC, and NEC forms of contract. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required. Desirable Qualifications: Project Management qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, APM). Knowledge of grid integration, energy storage technologies, and renewable energy markets. Experience working with behind-the-meter energy solutions.
