We have two Band 6 posts available to work within our Mental Health Team in Stockport. One post will specifically focus on reducing inequalities and promoting Inclusion.
The post holders will be members of the multi-disciplinary Healthy Young Minds service working as part of the integrated Mental Health Support Team which will support schools across the borough.
The post holders are responsible for providing mental health assessments, evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions, and consultation for children, adolescents, families, and professionals.
In addition, the post holders are encouraged to develop a specific therapeutic modality as a specialty for the service.
Wave 12 - To address unmet need and health inequalities within each locality, ensuring better access and outcomes for underrepresented groups. This aligns with the ambitions and objectives of the Trust’s This is Us Strategy and Working Together Partnership Strategy and will provide an opportunity for MHSTs to promote life chances while reducing inequality. Main duties of the job
The post holder will be an integral part of the MHST. You will use your clinical skills to listen to the needs of the child and family to provide meaningful evidence-based interventions that can demonstrate clinical change.
You will support staff in schools and colleges to help the whole system develop an understanding of how to work together to improve health and mental wellbeing.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
* To provide or provide access to CBT/CBT informed interventions in accordance with individual assessed need. This will include the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of a variety of therapeutic approaches either alone or as a member of the MDT.
* To contribute to the development and provision of services to children and young people.
* To perform all aspects of the role in accordance with Trust policies and other national bodies.
* To engage in/deliver managerial and clinical supervision, including with appropriate consent, recording and reviewing of live clinical work.
* To routinely monitor effectiveness of clinical work by use of Routine Outcome Measures (ROM) and where outcomes are not improving for children and families to engage in clinical review via peer review meetings and supervision.
* To work with a defined caseload of service users as part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing assessment, care planning, and care delivery for service users with mild to moderate mental health difficulties. This will include the provision of highly skilled professional care, psychological interventions, group work, clinical assessment, risk assessments/risk management, and promoting recovery and inclusion while ensuring co-production with service users, families, carers, and education staff.
* To identify and develop strategies to manage risk to the child and others in line with Pennine care and CAMHS procedures and protocols.
* To provide specialist advice to other members of staff and trainees and act as a role model.
* To liaise with all members of the multi-disciplinary team and outside agencies in the implementation of patient care.
* To ensure that care activities are research-based and in keeping with changes in the field of activity.
* To contribute to the development of ideas and innovative practice and propose changes to protocols and procedures within the mental health support team and CAMHS where required.
* To initiate and participate in departmental audit as requested by the Team Manager or Quality Improvement Lead.
* Ensure collection of relevant information required by Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust.
* To participate in the Duty rota on a weekly basis.
* To attend team, clinical, business, and other meetings as required.
* To manage own workload and time effectively.

Education/qualification
* Completion of the post-graduate certificate in supervisory skills or eligible to complete the course at the time of applying for the role.
* Experience of clinically supervising others.

* Professional involvement with the users of mental health services.

* Significant post-qualification experience in mental health services to post-graduate diploma level.
