What the Job Involves This role involves contributing to the delivery of an effective Children’s Social Care Service, focusing on safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people leaving or who have left care. You provide practical advice and support to care leavers, enhance financial capabilities, accommodation options, educational, and leisure opportunities. This includes participating in the assessment and review of Pathway Plans, maintaining positive health and well-being, fostering birth family connections, coordinating service provisions, and reporting risks. You collaborate within the Council and with external agencies, attend meetings, and ensure accurate data entry. Compliance with data protection laws, budget management, and contributing to service development form key parts of your responsibilities. During the course of employment, you maintain a commitment to health and safety policies and adhere to the Equality and Diversity policy. You may also need to work outside of standard hours, including weekends, contributing further to the overall departmental goals.
