What awaits you? • As the Indirect Tax Specialist you will provide indirect tax support to all our UK/IE legal entities on business operations, new business projects and organisational changes. • You will ensure effective and efficient completion of indirect tax compliance activities and take responsibility for monitoring and maintaining an effective internal indirect tax control environment. • Managing queries from HMRC and other tax authorities will be part of your remit. • You will develop a network and partnerships relevant to indirect tax processes and projects and provide them with the necessary information, training, guidance, and instructions to fulfill Indirect tax related activities in a timely manner and through automated processes. • It is your responsibility to ensure any changes in legislation are incorporated into the business and relevant stakeholders informed. • Supporting the standardisation and harmonisation of indirect tax operations and processes within UK & IE BMW Group entities will be your daily business. What should you bring along? • Strong VAT knowledge, with experience in providing commercially focused indirect tax advice. Experience of working with partially exempt businesses and/or Customs and Export Control knowledge is desirable. • Preferably Chartered Accountant certification and/or Chartered Tax certification. University degree or equivalent in business administration/economics/law or vocational training with additional qualification. • Process modelling and SAP knowledge (ERP/S4HANA/SD/MM/SRM/GTS) are preferential. • Proven expertise in analysis, planning and decision making. • Possessing a high level of target and quality focus is essential.
