This job is now CLOSED – for similar roles please check the Technical function.
Join an entrepreneurial food business where the door is open to enhance your skills beyond Technical, working collaboratively with colleagues in R&D, Commercial and the wider business.
Early in your career, it’s a rarity to be given the opportunity to have -degree involvement across a business. Here the culture is inclusive and collaborative. It’s a one team approach, where the business strategy is open, where you’ll be contributing to company-wide team talks, and work closely with colleagues across Commercial, R&D and the wider business.
We’re looking for a self-starter, someone with curiosity to learn, who’s unafraid to ask questions and draw on the knowledge of their colleagues around them. Ideally, you’ll be a graduate in a food science or similar, with at least a years’ experience under your belt. If you don’t have a graduate qualification, two to three years’ industry experience is preferred.
A big part of this role is writing and updating specifications, including retailer, supplier, and packaging. You’ll also be updating the Quality Management Systems and HACCP, so an eye for detail and accuracy are essential qualities. Overall, we’re looking for someone with a hunger to learn, who communicates and contributes and enjoys being an active member of a team.
This entrepreneurial company forms part of a much larger global Group, they’re agents and brokers who supply the major UK retailers and foodservice. All the manufacturing facilities are based overseas. It’s a business on a growth curve, with strategy in place to expand significantly over the next three years.
So, if you’re looking for somewhere where you can roll your sleeves up, enjoy a team culture, and be given the chance to really get involved then send me your CV and I’ll be touch to tell you more.
We’re scheduling initial interviews next week, so don’t delay.
