Job Title: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant ...
Location: Kirkby, Liverpool
Do you have experience supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and disabilities? Are you a motivated Teaching Assistant looking for a new opportunity to make a positive impact on students? Are you enthusiastic about working in a school setting with challenging pupils?
Randstad Education is collaborating with specialist schools in Kirkby to provide support for children with a range of Special Educational Needs. We are seeking passionate, confident, and patient 1:1 Teaching Assistants to join our team immediately. This term-time role offers a great opportunity to be part of a dedicated team, with the potential for a permanent position within the school. You will be working closely with students who have diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work with children and young people with a variety of SEN, including Autism and ADHD
2. Act as a confident, creative, and resilient behavior mentor to foster positive relationships with students
3. Ideally, have previous experience working with SEN pupils in schools
4. Be patient, passionate, and professional
5. Assist in delivering lessons across various classes
6. Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons using the P Scales curriculum
7. Build positive learning relationships with SEN pupils
8. Support students with a range of needs, including MLD, PMLD, SLD, ADHD, and physical disabilities
9. Demonstrate excellent communication and time management skills
10. Be available for an immediate start
