Main duties of the job
We are looking for a full time Band 6 Pelvic Health Physiotherapistto support an enthusiastic, experienced and well established pelvic health physiotherapy team. The successful candidate will be expected to:
* Assess and treat patients with pelvic floor dysfunction and musculoskeletal obstetric conditions.
* Support Band 5 Physiotherapist
The successful candidate is required to be able demonstrate the Trust values, the responsibilities of the job description and person specification. In particular you should have proven experience of working in core areas of physiotherapy and have a keen interest in pelvic health physiotherapy.

* Degree/graduate diploma in Physiotherapy
* Health Professions Council (HPC) registration
* Certificated graduate courses or equivalent inhouse training in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy - POGP approved short courses or similar
Desirable
* Member of CSP
* Membership of special interest group - POGP or ICS
* Commitment to advanced clinical and professional development
Experience
Essential
* Significant post registration experience with experience in Pelvic Health in an NHS setting
* Understanding and application of the PT process with evidence of clinical reasoning clinical problem solving
* Evidence of CPD in the form of a professional portfolio detailing post-graduate structured, supervised inservice training received/attended, reflective practice
* Teaching/education of colleagues, multidisciplinary team and/or public/carers
* Team working and ability to work as part of a team
* Evidence of presentation of own research/project work which informed departmental development
* Thorough understanding of setting & maintaining clinical standards & clinical audit
* Supervision of more junior staff, assistants and/students
* Evidence of contribution to change within the workplace
* Understanding of role of therapy within current evolving health environment

* Broad clinical experience on a rotational scheme
* Evidence of involvement in research
* Work independently with individuals and groups
