Main purpose of the job:
We are looking for a proactive and strategic Procurement & Contracts Manager to oversee the day-to-day operational procurement, facilities maintenance, and estate management across TCR UK&I. This dynamic role requires both hands-on problem-solving and long-term strategic planning to ensure operational excellence.
You will be responsible for managing all day-to-day operational procurement, facilities repair and maintenance of the TCR estate across UK&I. This is an existing role which combines both the requirement for an action-oriented individual to drive short-term actions and long-term strategy.
Along with renewing property leases, capital expenditure procurement, supplier contract negotiations, sub-contractor management, and airports liaison, this role brings a variety like no other. Building long-term relationships with suppliers, you will negotiate preferable terms and conditions to deliver the best service and value to TCR UK.
You will support Operations in driving quality standards to ensure the workshop environment and assets are safe, fit for purpose, and always maintained to the required standard.
You will work closely with the TCR parts division, local management teams, and other departments to ensure robust processes are in place for scheduling of works, adherence to contracts, and ensuring the ongoing success of the TCR UK&I business.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement strategies and plans with suppliers, lead times, total cost models, and improved performance to maximise deliverable savings for TCR UK.
2. Negotiate service provision contracts with suppliers including defined SLAs and KPIs to give best value and service to the business.
3. Conduct regular performance reviews with key suppliers against defined SLAs and KPIs to ensure that key processes are run efficiently and cost-effectively.
4. Work closely with internal stakeholders (Operations, Fleet, Parts Division, TCR International, etc.) and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of services.
5. Collaborate with finance teams to align procurement activities with budget goals.
6. Support capital expenditure projects by ensuring timely procurement and contract execution.
7. Communicate across teams and to project stakeholders ensuring alignment of projects and expectations.
8. Identify and mitigate risk with suppliers and keep internal stakeholders informed.
9. Property lease negotiations for renewals.
10. Facilities compliance surveys/inspections.
11. Ensure compliance with ISO Quality and Environmental standards throughout the business.
12. Monitor contract performance and resolve disputes or non-compliance issues.
13. Finance knowledge on invoicing and credit notes.
14. Engaging with suppliers for rebates.
15. Develop contingency plans to mitigate supply chain risks.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
2. Contract law.
3. Experience of managing suppliers for services and facilities management, preferably in the aviation industry.
4. Proven track record of delivering targeted savings and ability to demonstrate procurement and negotiation experience.
5. Experience in indirect, direct, and capex Procurement.
Knowledge and Skills:
1. Ability to build internal and external relationships.
2. CIPS qualification (desirable not essential).
3. Decision maker and problem solver with good commercial judgement and analytical ability.
4. Accuracy and attention to detail with good organisational skills.
5. Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
6. Good technical knowledge and IT skills.
