You will be joining our dynamic People Service Desk Team. This team is at the heart of our HR operations, managing a diverse range of HR-related services and inquiries throughout the entire employee life cycle. What will I be doing? You will be working in a collaborative and supportive team, with opportunities for professional growth and development as well as a chance to make a real impact on the employee experience at Wellcome You will be leading the People Service Desk within the People Team reporting to Associate Director (AD), People Operations, responsible for: Providing an efficient, end-to-end HR services acting as the central point of contact for employees seeking support or information on HR policies and procedures. Continuously enhancing and improving our service offerings to ensure the highest level of employee satisfaction. Fostering a self-service culture by empowering employees to access the information and tools they need independently. Is this job for me? You will need to be a great people manager, comfortable coaching and mentoring colleagues, giving, and receiving feedback and working collaboratively across the wider People team and organisation. You will have experience of operational HR, including employee relations, alongside a strong understanding of performance metrics, SLAs, and system acumen for managing a people service helpdesk. Experience with Workday, proficiency in IT and MI reporting, and the ability to operate autonomously and manage a team in a hybrid environment. We are looking for someone who has: Operational HR expertise, (possibly from a people partnering role) including experience in employee relations, policies, procedures, and team leadership, with a proven ability to lead by example. Has a strong understanding of performance metrics and SLAs for a people service helpdesk, with diligence in maintaining data integrity. Demonstrates good system acumen for troubleshooting, developing strategies, and focusing on enhancing employee experience. Experienced in communicating complex information to stakeholders and managing team performance. Capable of working on multiple projects across various stakeholder groups and adept in using Workday within a People Shared Services environment. Holds competent IT skills, including MI reporting development, and knowledge of People Helpdesk tools, with CIPD qualification preferred and a continuous improvement mindset.
