Who we need
As part of our Apprenticeship team, we are actively seeking an experienced IQA, on a variable hour’s basis (up to 6 hours per month) within the industry of Hairdressing to assess our learners against the City & Guilds standards (level 2). Key duties of the role include:
-Plan, operate and evaluate internal assessment and quality assurance systems (OneFile)
-Monitor and improve the quality of the assessment practice
-Interim and summative sampling
-Provide meaningful and constructive feedback to our Tutors
-Attend standardisation meetings and EV visits
-Maintaining and accurate and up to date records via OneFile
This role would suit a candidate who is currently working in industry and is looking for that first step into further education. There is flexibility with this role as to what hours you would like to work.
What you’ll bring
The ideal candidate will have industry experience and knowledge, ideally with an assessing or IQA qualification (or be willing to work towards). Essential skills and experience include:
-Effective communicator both written and verbal
-Abel to work autonomously and as part of a wider team
-Confident in the use of IT
-Eye for accuracy and detail
