What you’ll be doing:
Assisting and managing the timely and accurate delivery of entity reporting, directly impacting the Group result to be shared externally via the Group Report and Accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing preparation and delivery of relevant management accounts
* Preparation of statutory accounts
* Prepares and understands financial controls
* Managing production of regulatory returns (where applicable)
* Managing intercompany settlements
* Preparation of complex working papers
* Identifying efficiencies in processes and supporting the process to implement change
* Supporting analytical reviews
* Posting financial journals (as required) and supporting relevant consolidation journals
Who we’re looking for:
You will be a qualified accountant or in the later stages of a professional accounting qualification with proven experience. Experience of working in Financial Services would be highly desirable but not mandatory, however, some experience of working in a large corporate setting with complex matrix structures will be required.
You will have good process and accounting knowledge including statutory accounting, you will be a strong communicator, able to communicate accounting principles and judgements to a broad stakeholder group, including non-accountants. You'll be comfortable working independently, able to manage your own workload through good time management and prioritisation skills to deliver the required outcomes.
