The Role:
The Nurse Manager Access and Patient Flow works as part of the team in the Integrated Operations Centre at the LGH to develop, manage and implement strategies, projects, plans and processes to ensure the delivery of access and patient flow priorities for Hospitals North. The role contributes to achievement of the objectives and outcomes of the Launceston General Hospital Operational Plan.
The ideal candidate will:
* Foster innovation, with a key focus on KPI and system improvement to improve patient outcomes throughout the region.
* Work autonomously as part of the IOC team whilst being directly accountable to the Nursing Director of the IOC.
Details of appointment:
Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as the successful applicant can join our team.

Salary: $122,365 to $129,060 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
* Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type

Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
*Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change.
Desirable Criteria:
* Relevant postgraduate qualifications in project management or clinical redesign
* A minimum of 5 years of acute clinical experience
* Previous experience in management or leadership roles
* Patient Access and Flow experience
